Midnight in Paris is utterly charming and delightful while still having more substance than the typical fluffy romantic comedy. Its about the unsatisfied yearning everyone feels at some point for a way of life that exists only in our own heads and the ultimate realization that in order to be happy we have to find a way to accept reality for what it is and appreciate the magic in real life. If that sounds too pseudo-philosophical, the movie has moment after moment of exuberant comedy and utterly joyous movie magic. 4 of 7 member(s) found this review helpful.
