Brutal...

"I've been watching the show since the first season and have been one of it's biggest fans. This DVD set does the show justice and if you are any kind of Dethklok fan you should buy this set and their album, The Dethalbum. This series brought Death Metal and Black Metal to alot of people's homes and helped a genre of music grow in the US where it had previously been mostly heard in Europe. Even if you're not into Metal you should watch it anyways since it's humor is broad and very funny, even if dark quite often, which then just makes it hilarious. Buy or Die should be the slogan for this set, keep it metal."
Get it now.

"This is the best animated series to come out since Beavus and Butthead or the Simpsons, not just a rip off on a concept already created and successful. Metalocalypse is Josie and the Pussycats on acid with a huge pair of balls. If you liked liquid tv, are an animation freak, like dark humor, or where ever in a rock band you should deffinatly check this out."
Great entertainment, if you have the mind for it.

"This TV series isn't going to please everyone, and it's not supposed to. Everything about this show is over-the-top and ridiculous, just like the genre of heavy metal is supposed to be, and only those who truly love and appreciate the art form that is heavy metal music will appreciate and understand the macabre type of humor that is emitted through the excessive violent imagery portrayed (in a humorous fashion) in this show. In other words, don't take it all too seriously. Alot of what goes on in this show is supposed to be so shocking that it is funny, and the fact that it is a cartoon helps with that. Beyond all that, this show is an intelligent satire on the excesses of celebrity life, the psychology of individuals (particularly celebrities) and why they do what they do, human stupidity (or celebrity stupidity, whichever), and the back and forth between different forces competing for power, a theme that is a core part of human nature on any level and that has existed since the dawn of time. Also, he DVD itself contains an impressive amount of bonus features I found highly entertaining and that will definitely please true Metalocalypse/Dethklok fans. Other people probably won't get the humor."
This two season pack is brutal!

"Is there anything more metal than the band Dethklok? No, that's right, there's not. In this great deal, you get both the first and second seasons of Metalocalypse. You get to follow the boys of Dethklok, Nathan Explosion - Lead Singer, Skiwsgaar Skwigelf - Lead Guitar, Toki Wartooth - Rhythm Guitar, Pickles the Drummer, and William Murderface - Bass Guitar, through their every day lives and all of the weird stuff that happens to them, from people dying at their concerts, to coffee shops being exploded and making coffee inside a long thought to be dormant volcano, it's a non-stop grab you by your eyesockets and head bang you every step of the way show! The season 1 and 2 dvds contain extras, including some behind the scenes actions as well as mini-episodes that never aired."
