I'm not really big into horror movies but this one was well done and you can't go wrong with Dylan McDermott. He's real easy on the eyes! This was scary, but not bloody.

This was a really well done and crafted terror suspense plotline that would give you the ebby gibbies at times with a young Kristen Stewart, Dylan McDermott and others shining in this. A must watch for horror, terror and ghost fans!

This is a great horror movie, and a favorite in my household. Yes, some of the scary special effects have been seen in many other films, but that doesn't stop them being scary if done at the right moment. All of the actors do very well in this movie--I am including Kristen Stewart in that statement, by the way. She is very believable in her role, and the addition of a little brother and a sympathetic love interest to help her gives her even more to work with. I did not expect the climatic twist the first time I saw this film, and even when I know it is coming it still excites me. Well-written, nicely filmed, and with terrific actors. If you like horror films, give this one a chance.

The messengers was not a bad movie, the problem is that the scary parts we have seen before.More specifically, the Pang brothers bring the Asian flair of scare that we have seen in many of the movies that have been popular as of late.Good sets, good acting, scares OK. I liked it, If it came out 5 years earlier it would have been scarier,it just seems like I have seen most of this stuff before. It was a weak good.Remember I rarely dislike a horror movie. Dan

"The message is, mediocre, at best".

"The film did contain some good content for a horror film, O.K. visual effects, scary moments, and Kristen Stewart was interesting to watch. Other than that though, we've seen this stuff before, like: the crows sequences, which copies The Birds, and then later other scenes that resemble The Shining."
Scary? No, But It Serves Its Purpose Of Entertaining

"If you aren't expecting some super-scary or gross film, just a mild ghost-type story, this fits the bill just fine. That's all I expected and I entertained for an hour-and-a-half. Is this some award-winning film? No, Is is genuinely scary? No, but it isn't anywhere near as bad as all these reviews say it is here, either.
What I liked best about this movie was the photography. It was stylishly filmed and I enjoyed the bold colors, decent direction and nice rural scenery. Who doesn't like looking at large groups of sunflowers?
I had no trouble with any of the characters, either. Since it was partly one of those "you don't listen to me," teen girl flicks, I expected some snotty kid was Kirsten Stewart was fine as 16- year-old "Jess." Dylan McDermott and Penelope Ann Miller played nice enough parents, too.
The twist near the end was good after that was revealed, you got the normal clichés with the climactic action scene. That was kind of cheesy, I admit, but most of the film was just fine with me. For what I expected, I have no complaints. It's a decent flick."
