I don't doubt that things like this happen, we just don't hear about it or see it. Hats off to both Cuba Gooding Jr. and Robert DeNiro for their GREAT acting in these roles. (billystan3) from AUBURN, NY Reviewed on 1/24/2015... I think these two men make one terrific team. Cuba Gooding Jr. Has been in many films over the years but I think this to be his best undertaking. With veteran actors like Robert Di Niro he soars. unfortunately more often than not when Mr. Gooding takes the lead role he falters for many reasons, the biggest being the screenplays he accepts. The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. The film Hit List is a great example of a writers obsession with violence and mayhem, over storyline. Cuba Gooding Jr. is worthy of much better roles. Don't take me wrong, I'm a huge fan of action films, but that is all that Hit List was. Just the opposite is true of Mr. Gooding's role in this film, the screenplay is excellent, it gives us a story of bravery, that more often then not is rarely seen.
