MAYBE I LL COME HOME IN THE SPRING Oscar winner Sally Field portrays Dennie, a young woman who has returned to her superficial, image conscious suburban family, after a year away with a hippie group. She must face the disapproval of her actions, as they refuse to understand. She must also deal with an ex-lover and a beloved sister, who is following in her footsteps. This taut dramatic feature is greatly enhances as well, by several haunting melodies performed by the incomparable Linda Ronstadt.
GINGER IN THE MORNING A salesman is enamored of a young hitchhiker whom he picks up on the road. They are immediately swept up in their emotions, and they actually fall hard for each other. At one point, she also falls for his drunken friend. Sissy Spacek is remarkable in one of her best early roles.
