Movie Reviews

Fun
P. Ghannadan | Berkeley, CA | 10/04/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I saw this in tehran and people were at first squirming, then dancing in their seats. This film is fun from start to end and its heart is in the right place."
For Iranian Comedy is pretty good
Arman Nosrati | 01/09/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is a very funny comedy and it was a joy to watch. It is probably funnier for the Iranian audiences than the foreign but the entire family can enjoy the silly moments of this movie. I thought the acting and the story was done well. We don't have too many comedies in our movie industry and hope to see more.

Poor quality
T. Schwalbe | western NY | 05/28/2007
(2 out of 5 stars)

"This movie was not good from a number of standpoints. The subtitling (done in white) was barely able to be seen throughout the movie. The plot was mildly interesting. It seemed at times the movie was trying to emulate a Bollywood style when breaking into song and dance but did not do a very good job."
Iranian Rap -- Way Cool
Ace | East Coast | 08/06/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"The opening sequence is very funny. The song and dance routines are good too. The white on white subtitles were not.

An interesting movie -- some of the situations were a little too forced / self-conscious in contrast with US movies, but still enjoyable.

It gets better as it goes along-- more action -- more quick repartees, and alot more hilarity.

Well done - merci!"
