Throw together a crew of a pilot who wants to be a cook, a voice actor, a penny pinching accountant, a high strung anime fan, a genetically engineered 12-year old girl, and a few other loonies, and this is what you get. And make no doubt about it, this show is hilarious.
The action is fast, loud, and even sometimes confusing as no one ever seems to shut up on this show (Except for Ruri, who makes an occasional observation of 'Idiots!'. This is what Star Trek would be like if the replicator would make coffee using Jolt Cola instead of water. This first tape contains three episodes, and all three are very funny. In later volumes, the action slows a bit, and both the characters and the story grow at a more comfortable pace, albeit amidst some hilarity. But this first tape will definitely whet your appetite for more. I currently have the first eight volumes and hope to be getting the last few pretty soon." |
