This tender and delicately weaved story provides a close and down-to-earth look at a journey of self-realization that comes most alive with the memorable soundtrack that writer and director Rolla Selbak, notably, composed several of its catchiest tunes.« less
"I actually liked this film. I thought it was a delicate piece that unravelled nicely. Oh, and the lead actress was really hot. This is an indie film with all the associated values, so if you're looking for a big budget flick with special effects, this might not be your thing. But if you enjoy character driven indies like I do, then its worth it. PS, the kiss scene was interesting..."
Really loved it.

"Loved this film and really got into the story. Its an independent film and totally has that feel but it suprised me with a nice and well written story. The actress did a great job and the basketball scenes were cool. I recommend it."

Maya (Amy Minderhout) is Maya, a high school senior who realizes that with graduation she must face life. She is slim and blonde and very pretty. She plays basketball like a boy and she trains daily. Her best friend and fellow athlete, Mars (Desmond Faison) talks her into entering a free throw contest with him and she knows that the contest could eventually lead to a career in basketball.
When she is off of the court, Maya's life is not so good. Her mother is an alcohol and barely functions. Maya's friends try to run her life for her and only when an older woman comes onto the scene does Maya begin to examine herself. Maya finds herself attracted to the new female. What could have been an interesting film vacillates between teenage angst and an attention holding drama and when the film is intimate it is very, very good.
Minderhout carries the movie but there is just too much talking going on. The pacing also varies and the film just does not make it to what it could have been. That's too bad because there is promise here/

"The film was a gift and I finally watched it with a few friends and we had a great time. Was it the company or the film, not sure, but it was a nice little film, albeit low budget, that gave us a good night of hanging out."

"Really a bad movie (it's only my perception). This film is empty. I found absolutly no interest in this story. Nothing else to say. Just one thing : the audio was awfull"
