Member Movie Reviews Sandy M. (BritFlickFan) Reviewed on 7/14/2024... The true story of the Dagenham machinists strike in 1968 is brought vividly to life by a top-notch cast led by Sally Hawkins. Female employees of the Ford Motor Company were underpaid and under appreciated until they walked off the job, and refused to return to work until their demands for equal pay for equal work were met resulting in both economic and emotional hardships for the women and their partners.
