This movie was really hard to watch. Interesting but had some slow dragging parts and it was not the finest hour for Levitt. I like what he has evolved into and I watched this since he was in it but I just was not that impressed with it.

This movie was entertaining and shot well but seemed like it could have been better. It's set in modern-day Kansas City, a rather bleak background, where the main character, (JGL) falls from being a locally famous jock to incurring a brain injury in a car crash. The central element of the movie is his struggle to resume a normal life as best he can. Jeff Daniels plays his blind roommate who acts as his moral compass. His timing is excellent. The plot was pretty good but the characters were a bit stilted. Isla Fisher does a good job of playing the surreptitious "Luvlee Lemons" an ex-stripper who seduces JGL into cooperating with the gang of robbers. Although JGL emerges from the debacle unhurt there is no happy ending.
