"We were a little disappointed because the writter has succombed to current Hollywood trends and made this movie a little scary. I recall the episodes of Little Bear used to always be so kind and gentle. But this movie is a little different. The movie has a mountain lion that whats to eat little bear and his friends. The lion is a little scary. It also has a sad plot with "Cub" being orphaned during a storm. All ends well, but not the usual gentleness of Little Bear stories. A sensitive toddler could get bad dreams. Keep in mind this review is relative to other Little Bear episodes; the movie is certainly not scary when compared to Disney movies or regular TV."
Little Bear is our family favorite

"Little Bear is the perfect family TV show and this movie is all that and more in a feature-length package. This movie is superior to the typical Disney films marketed to children in many ways- the story is interesting and easy enough to follow for young ones. There are not unnecessary scary and violent scenes or the requisite evil witch/monster/villian (besides an encounter with a mountain lion which is handled well). The music is beautiful and the relationships between characters are heartwarming. 5 stars for this movie and hopes for more to follow (please Nelvana??)"

"This is my 2 1/2-year-old daughter's favorite movie. She loves "Little Bear" more than any other TV program, and I wholeheartedly support it. This movie is just like the TV program, with the same messages -- love of family and friends, as well as the fostering of imaginative play. It's sweet and wholesome and well worth checking out."
Perfect mix of fun and adventure.

"This is a wonderful story with fun animal characters. My (almost) 4 year old twins (one boy, one girl) have loved this video for 6 months now. They would watch it every day if they could. Without going into detail, Little Bear gets to go camping and meet new friends, and have adventures and play time. There is a lot of humor in the story, and many opportunities to learn lessons. But nothing is obvious or irritating. Just fun. The story moves right along, too. It doesn't get boring or too slow. The scary parts are not too scary, either. Not like the Disney movies, where the scary parts are really quite frightening for little kids. This is a great movie for your little one, and leaves everyone happy."
