Elsner | Washington DC | 06/19/2010 (4 out of 5 stars) "The plot twist in this brooding film noir is that the detective falls in love with the corpse. There's much to enjoy in this movie, including the haunting theme music and the lovely Gene Tierney. The acting is good but the plot is a little silly and the detective's investigative techniques seem childishly amateurish.
This extra material on this DVD includes a long documentary about Tierney's tragic life which is well worth watching." |
