The soap opera does not intend to be serious and in some way they are taking the piss out of the telenovela's industry by being overly cheesy at times (maybe I see it that wat because I am Mexican), so it has to be enjoyed for what it is. Wish it had the subtitles for the English speakers but I guess it is a good way to practise for those who had a reasonable level of Spanish (beside the native speakers of course) " Careful! I just wanted to let you know that there are 2 versions for this telenovela (colombian and mexican). Las Juanas (Primera Temporada) sold by Amazon is the Mexican version from Laguna Productions. I don't know if Las Juanas (2 season) is the continuation of the Mexican version or not because it says it is from Laguna Films (not Laguna Productions). If I were you I would wait till it is launched to buy it. Hope this was helpful. " |
