Dr. 90210 as sicko serial killer. Baaaaaaaaaad!

"Sam (Kurt Sinclair) was a successful Beverly Hills plastic surgeon when he was arrested in his home for kidnapping, maiming and killing several young male escorts, after his wife leaves him. As he sits on Death Row, a young female journalist is sent to interview him, and the details of his murders are provided in flashback, including his belief that he was possessed by the demonic spirit of a dead teenage boy named Scott. He blames Scott for compelling him to lure the young men to his home, drug them and carve them up, so Scott could drink their blood and they can both dine on their flesh. (Tum, tum, tum, tums!)
To say that "Kiss the Boys" (2006) is ridiculous is a huge understatement. With wildly inappropriate sets, many obvious continuity errors, awful audio, poor casting (with the exception of Sinclair, who seems appropriately psychotic and menacing) and widespread overacting, I've seen better production values on amateur videos on YouTube. The story also has many "what were they thinking?" moments, the chief one for me being the finding of his first victim, still alive, well fed and perfectly clean, despite the fact that he had been imprisoned all alone for a period that had to have been at least several months, since Sam was arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced to death.
DVD has full screen and widescreen versions, chapter selection, but no other special features (despite the DVD's menu page, which refers to a non-existent second DVD). 1 star out of 5."

"This movie is just terrible. I completely agree with the above review except for part about the "best actor." I think all of the acting was awful. Kurt Sinclair seemed to be trying a little too hard at moments to be psychotic and menacing... and the wig(s) he wears to portray his being younger is rather distracting. In spite of the directing and (lack of) special effects, the guy who played Scott was the most authentic actor in this movie.
The directing and editing was awful. The acting was even worse. The sound track was mostly predictable and at times completely inappropriate. The overall effect is reminiscent of watching a Saturday Night Live skit spoofing a mix of Silence of the Lambs, Kiss the Girls and Saw (at one point, Scott says "I want to play a game" in a deep dramatic voice). Yeah. The only thing funny about it though, is that it is so bad. So unless you get a kick out of watching horrible movies, I would not recommend watching this one."
