There's hot fun in the summertime when Kipper and his pals enjoy the great outdoor. From boating at the beach to splashing in the pool, the water is the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine. The fun continues when Kipper, T... more »iger and Arnold compete in a game of crazy golf. But when the friends decide to race one another, Tiger lands in the pond. To Pig's amazement, Arnold learns to ride a bike - with a little help from Kipper. Finally, they're off to spend the day at the farm with new friends! There's always something new under the sun with Kipper and company!« less
"This is good, fun, animated entertainment for the pre-school crowd with a minimum of violence. After my daughter watched this DVD a few times, she began speaking in a British accent. It was cute, yet creepy. Still, I prefer it over the Boston accent she sometimes has when she returns home from school, "we did some drawrings and then we played in the pahk."
Kipper and his buddies Tiger, Pig, and Arnold, amble about in a genial, self-amused manner, often chuckling infectiously to themselves about their mildly mischievous adventures. There are occasional moments of slapstick comedy but it is high on cuteness, low on angst and violence. In my favorite episode, a particularly surreal one, Kipper and Pig explore the sky traveling around on the clouds. Then, it begins to rain and they plummet out of the sky. Their fall is broken as they bounce gently off the belly of a sunbathing Tiger. Tiger flinches as each of them bounces and emits a low "ooph." I can't do it justice, but it's as funny as any Bugs Bunny slapstick moment, but with out the cruel and sadistic flavor. My daughter was alone in the room watching it and I heard her burst into laughter. I ran in to see and we ended up looping the gag, watching it over and over and laughing harder each time. Good times.
The drawings are simple but heady. The backgrounds are understated yet enchanting watercolors. Your viewing experience is enhanced by a noodly cool jazz tinkering soundtrack.

"Seven more episodes of Kipper the Dog, who woefully, is no longer on TV. The episodes include Clouds, Water, Water Everywhere, The Farm, Crazy Golf, The Rescue, Arnold on Wheels, and The Race. Always calm and soothing for the little ones. In this hectic world, small children need all the Kipper they can get! Video and accompanying music are always high quality and a treat for little eyes and ears. Kipper and his friends are always good-natured and supportive."
Brilliant!

"My 18 month old loves Kipper! The easy animation without all the background is more her pace. As adults, my husband & I have not gotten sick of Kipper like some other kid shows."
A pleasure to watch!

"My 3 year old is a seasoned Kipper watcher! We have all the other videos, and this one is a delight to add to our collection! I highly recommend Kipper to anyone with a toddler...the sights, sounds and dialogue are wonderful to listen to (both adult and child)! The situations presented are just the situations toddlers think about. As a teacher and parent, I highly recommend any and all of these Kipper videos! :)
Happy viewing!"

"story line is accessible to youngest viewers, but the language used is deliciously appealing to adults with bonus British idioms and light British accent sprinkled throughout the story line; story line is sweet, but not condescending to younger viewers; my children will watch it over and over from ages 4 through 9"
