Danita M. from BRUCETON MLS, WV Reviewed on 11/27/2012...
I thought this would be great for young ones; haven't tried it with my grandchildren yet, but liked how different exercise moves were done by different animals, people dressed up as different animals, moved in different ways to work the body. Fun and interesting set up, tailored to needs and interests of different age groups. Thought it was well thought out, and executed.
Movie Reviews
What you should know

"There wasn't much of a description for this video and the two reviews were so opposite, I didn't know what to think. I decided to give it a try and here's what I wish I had known: There are two workout programs on this DVD, one aimed at 3-8 year olds and the other for 7-14. It is HOSTED by Jane Fonda but she doesn't actually do any of the workouts. The workouts are lead by Fun House host, J.D. Roth (Fun House is an older children's program from the '80s). You can look up the individual workouts for further information: Fun House Fitness: The Swamp Stomp and Fun House Fitness: The Fun House Funk. It's really great for the target audience, it just would have been nice to know which target audience that was in advance."
Not what I expected

"I have always admired Jane Fonda and have most of her exercise videos. I thought this one was a git-down type for adults, but it's for kids. I may not have read up on it enough on your website, but then again I don't remember that much of a description for it. I'm stuck with it, and not sure what to do with it. Our grandkids are older than its target group."

"I actully grew up with both of these videos. I remember that my sister, brother, and I LOVED them. Especially my brother who was the youngest of us. If you want your kids to be entertained and enjoy excercising, then this is deffinetly the video for you. I went to my house today to pick them both up for my daughter, only to find that we have the funk house funk. Which is fine, but she's 5. If you want something to keep your kids healthy and entertained then the Swamp Stomp is deffinetly what you need."
Kids Play

"I was disappointed in this DVD which did not inform it was a kid's exercise or play program. I was looking for a Jane Fonda Adult Exercise DVD. Nobody buys a DVD for kid's to exercise...That's probably why it was not a success...I can really say this was a total waste of money. And I'll probably end up throwing it out."
So 1990, but fun!

"I was a big Fun House fan as a kid & we had the Fun House Funk, one of the two workouts on this DVD, on tape. When I saw this at the library, I had to check it out just for old time's sake. My almost 4 year old actually loved it & exercises right along with it. It's from 1990, so that keeps me laughing, but I've decided to get up & exercise along with her. There are clips from the show Fun House on each workout program. The Swamp Stomp, which I wasn't previously familiar with, is a workout routine geared toward children where you're moving around like a variety of animals would. My child really loves that one. Various people come out dressed like animals & although I think some of them look really goofy, my daughter enjoys it. The Fun House Funk is more like a standard workout program geared towards tweens & teens."
