High profile ex-gangster Dave Courtney was accused of a massive ego trip by making this film. Complete rubbish. Dave instead wanted to make a genuine gangster film, using genuine gangsters and authentic dialogue rather than actors reading a script. Accept this and it puts the film in a totally new light. Rather than use a tightly written script, this is an essay in improvisation and gritty realism. The characters are played by people who walk the walk, not just talk the talk. If you want to see prostitutes playing prostitutes and hard gangsters playing their real life roles, this is the movie to watch as the cast list alone represents a who's who of London crime and tough guys. Dave and his production crew went to amazing lengths to 'keep it real', and that alone deserves the respect of the viewer." |
