Being a big fan of the classic kung fu Flying Guillotine movies, I was completely blown away when I saw the trailer for The Guillotines.

A spiritual successor of the original movies, it starts off really great with a multitude of updated versions of the flying guillotine. The beginning even has a short narrated history of the classic flying guillotine.

As good as the movie starts, after about 20 minutes or so, it derails into some type of pretend period drama with absolutely zero kung fu and zero flying guillotines!

What a wasted opportunity!
