"This concert was recorded in Los Angeles in 1977. Amazingly, 30 years later, it has finally been released! It not only features Gladys Knight and the Pips at their peak, but Ray Charles at his as well. All of the vocals are knock outs. Gladys singing "Evergreen" and "The Way We Were" sears with raw emotion. Ray Charles singing "America The Beautiful" stirs the soul. Ray does several numbers with Gladys and several of his famous numbers with the Raylettes. And of course there are all of those cooking classic Gladys Knight and the Pips hits. This is Gladys Knight at her soulful best!"

"I have had this concert on Laserdisc (remember those?!) since the early 80's and back then I even had trouble finding it because it had only been released in Japan.

So it's about time that this fabulous concert finds it's way onto DVD. If you're a fan of Gladys Knight like me, you will enjoy every single minute of it.

It's not every day that you can look at history captured on film.

"I contiuously search for vintage DVD concerts from my era. When i purchased Gladys and the Pips feat. Ray Charles, my memories of seeing this group live were reincarnated. A great DVD and must have for Gladys Knight and Pips fans. Clarity of DVD and sound reflect technology during time period concert was recorded....not a detriment."
