THE EAST SIDE KIDS
MR. WISE GUY: Charged with thievery, the gang is sent up river to reform school when they unwittingly help a crook load a stolen truck. Oneof the boys' brothers is framed for murder and given the death sentence. They realize that it is a henchman for the supposedly dead gangster that framed the boy's brother. The boys break out of the reform school and go in search of Mr. Wise Guy.
THAT GANG OF MINE:Muggs' dreams of becoming a jockey are dashed when it turns out that he is a terrible horse rider. When a wealthy investor offers to race the thoroughbred with a different rider, Muggs plots to sabotage the rival jockey's chances at winning the race.
GHOSTS ON THE LOOSE: The Kids wind up at a wrong house--a sinister, "haunted," old mansion inhabited by a group of Nazi spies led by the villainous Emil (Bela Lugosi). With all the secret passageways in the old house, it quickly becomes a chaotic mess--are the Nazis chasing The East Side Kids, or are the Kids chasing them?!
BOWERY BLITZKRIEG: Danny Breslin is banned from the impending Golden Gloves title fight, and he is replaced by his buddy Muggs. The crowd believe that Muggs fixed the fight, and chaos ensues. Muggs and Danny will be eternally labeled as villains--unless they can prove their innocence and reveal the true scoundrels.
BOYS OF THE CITY: Knuckles and the rest of the Kids stop to help a couple of stranded motorists: a judge and his ward Louise. The boys take them back to the judge's creepy mansion--which is complete with hidden passageways, sliding panels, and a sinister housekeeper named Agnes. But before the boys can make their exit, the judge is found murdered and his ward, Louise, is missing. The Kids bumble their way through a search for the disappeared girl, and manage to unveil the surprising identity of the killer as well.
PRIDE OF THE BOWERY: Muggs Maloney decides to find a new place to prepare for the upcoming Golden Gloves boxing championship, and goes to what he believes is a training camp. The training camp turns out to be a Conservation Corps camp, where men recoup land for the government in exchange for support of their families, Muggs winds up staying in order to make some cash. When his only friend at the camp steals money from the office, Muggs attempts to cover for his pal--but catches blame for the crime instead.
'NEATH THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE: The Kids find themselves knee-deep in a crime mystery when they come to the aid of a terrified girl who is found in the apartment of a murdered man.
MILLION DOLLAR KID: When Muggs McGinnis and the rest of the gang rescue a wealthy businessman from a group of hooligans, and it turns out that one of the thugs is the victim's very own son, the Kids attempt to set the youngster straight and to reform him from his shady ways.« less
