Member Movie Reviews Jorge S. (jorgito2001) from WESLEY CHAPEL, FL Reviewed on 12/30/2013... I'm a HUGE fan of the original 1985 Fright Night & to a lesser extent, the 1989 sequel. The remake was....OK. neither hate it or love it, but this one...well. Its made on a shoe string budget which always hurts a flick IMO. But the decision by the filmmakers to YET AGAIN remake the original Fright Night instead of make a sequel to the Colin Farrell starrer...I don't get that! Jerry Dandridge has been renamed "Gerri" (clever) and is pretty much a "do over" on the whole "nobody believes this chick is a vampire til they start dying" bit. dissapointing. If I had to pick ONE positive, its the always beautiful Jaime Murray as the vampire villian. She very nearly holds the entire film together. Unfortunately, the choice for Peter Vincent (Sean Power), pretty much negates that positive.
