Watch the trailer and see what you need. Read all the bad reviews if you want to know more about how bad this movie. Jennifer Aniston, Joan Cusack, Catherine Keener, Frances McDormand and other likely regret doing this movie except for being overpaid for it. Best to skip the trailer and keep walking.

This movie was completely pointless. I like many of the actors and actresses but the plot was just nonexistent. The 3 couples are all wealthy and yet depressed or angry (SPOILER ALERT: I kept thinking Francis McDormand's character needed to see a doctor about always being "just so tired"). The couple that fights needs to see a counselor and work out their stuff. Olivia has absolutely no self esteem and they all use the f-word way too much. (I guess that's "artsy" or something). Then, in what you assume is kind of the middle of the plot, the first actual turning point in ANY story line, the screen cuts out and the credits start! It was really odd how cutoff it felt. Did they run out of money? What on earth? It was basically a waste of two hours. No plot resolutions and you just can't empathize too much with any of them. Basically Olivia is a pot smoking maid who steals from her clients and stalks the married man she had a brief affair with. Things look up when she finally dates a man who isn't much to look at and we believe is "just" unemployed, but he's nice. Of course, we also find out he's really rich so problems solved, story over!

Good story about personality and relationships and how things can change, for better and for worse. Easy-watching, several of my favorite actresses are in it.
