It's Really Live From The Moulin Rouge

"I honestly don't understand why this film was packaged this way. It's actually the very famous classic film "Live From The Moulin Rouge." The words "Fresh From Paris" were actually the slogan used to advertise the film, not the name of the picture. Very, very odd.
Still, I can't dis the film for it's poorly designed packaging. There is a reason this film is a classic - the high end musical burlesque performances.
It's not a standard musical. Instead it's live footage from the famous Molin Rough burlesque show in Paris. A small amount of plot is thrown in, but mostly just to move us from one incredible show number to another.
I think it may be the best example of real burlesque ever put on film."
Good Movie. Bizarre Packaging

"What an odd, odd package for a great movie. The packaging says its "fresh from paris" and that the film is set in Hollywood.
In reality, the entire film is set in Paris in the Moulin Rouge. Stranger still the words "Fresh from paris" never appear in the credits anywhere. I wonder if there is some film out there actually called "Fresh from Paris."
That said, teh film is amazing and filled with sexy traditional burlesque routines and beautiful girls in a typical Hollywood showbiz plot.
It's a good deal."
