"Other reviewers ,as would the distributors/owners, would like to have you believe that the Fanny Lifter is required to see satisfactory results. That is just not the case. You can and will see great results without the Fanny Lifter as long as you are motivated and consistent - two key elements in fitness. For more than one reason (a) If you already have a professional step that goes up to 10", this will suffice (b) if you are physically challenged i.e. obese, plagued with joint problems, etc. you may not be able to use this device and thus become discouraged from doing the workout. The Firm workouts are especially enjoyable in addition to my already packed schedule.I would also recommend Tae-Bo, Crunch Pilates and the Quick-Fix series as well as any other method that will afford you the opportunity to add variety to your workout thus ensuring interest and motivation. For those of you just getting into working out, you should work at your own pace and just get moving without regard to amount that you do or time that you spend. One workout video is not the end all be all but this is a fun place to start and its cheaper thatn a gym membership. Want more step work? Take the stairs more often or do more walking, add a jump rope even, but don't be discouraged because you don't have the Fanny Lifter. Get moving and get healthy. Numerous articles and studies have shown/stated that getting moving in one way shape or form can add years to your life. And why not be healthy and happy in the process. Be creative and innovative in taking control of your life and health. This is a great way to start without the Fanny Lifter."
Great DVD Set

"I have owened a couple of the Firm DVD before this one. They both challaged me, and were great. The results that I am getting from working with these DVDs are great. I found this set to be challenging too. I used my regular step instead of the fanny lifter, and I used weights to replace the sculpting stick. Most the low rating reviews I read didn't stop me from buying this DVD and I am glad. People need to know that the rating should be for the DVD it self, not what it didn't come with!!! Believe me there are results on my body after working out with those DVDs."
These Work!

"I have this set and have been using them for 1 month. They work! If you've never lifted weights this is a great way to get started. I found them more appealing to my age group than videos by veterans such as Kathy Smith and Denise Austin, who also have very effective workouts. The music is more modern and I actually look forward to working out, and that's the most important thing. After all, consistency is the key."
No, this is not Denise Austin

"I find it hysterical that people are comparing The Firm to someone like Denise Austin. PLEEZ!!! Denise Austin is a highly commercial, cookie cutter instructor who will put her name on anything she thinks will make her a buck. Her workouts are poorly designed, exceptionally easy and ineffective. No, this isn't Denise Austin. If you want something that is easy then you don't want these workouts. You will have to challenge yourself and learn some new things but that isn't a sin. The sculpting stick is not necessary - I was shocked to see them using it for balance than for sculpting. Get a broom - it is really no big deal. You'll need weights - but if you didn't expect to buy weights then you don't want practically anything the Firm makes. If you've been an exerciser perhaps you already have a step - that can do for now to get started. You can look around the house for something to use for the tall step. I used this sturdy old coffee table for years before getting the fanny lifter. Every year on vacation I look around the house for a substitute. It is really not that big a problem. The Firm has such a loyal following because most of their workouts are very effective and that's it."

"I love the Firm. These
dvds give a great workout. They really target the thigh and buttock area. You will not be disappointed. The DVDS are great for beginners and advanced because the instructors give options for the beginners or the advanced. The Firm offers the best workout with the quickest results!"
