"Just like the single DVDs, this is a money waster. Buy the full season 1 - Farscape rocks, but why buy it twice just to see the other episodes?"
This is truly the best of Farscape's first season.

"If you have never seen Farscape before now, this is a perfect start to the roller-coaster ride through the Uncharted Territories. I have to warn you, though, by the time you finish this DVD, you will be hooked.Farscape is a truly amazing ride. The characters, even the ones that are puppets from the Jim Henson Company's Creature Shop, have real depth and emotion (and that's saying something, for a puppet!) and quickly become real people to the viewer. Farscape will engage your mind and your emotions. You find yourself thinking about almost every episode for days afterward, and each time you re-watch an episode (and you WILL watch them again, trust me on this one) you will get something new out of the experience. This show does not deserve its premature cancellation. If there is any justice in this world, Farscape will be back for a fifth season and beyond. But even it it isn't resurrected, you will not be disappointed."
Best of Farscape season one is quite a trip

"The one thing that really impressed me with this DVD was that the episodes were all of movie quality picture and sound. There were things that I heard and saw quite intensely watching the DVD that I didn't catch when I videotaped these episodes from television. On the DVD, you can see that Moya, the organic ship that Crichton and the other characters travel around in, has moving parts on it. Watch the first episode scene where Moya comes out of starburst, and you'll see what I mean. The hauntingly beautiful Farscape theme music that was used during the first two seasons sounds great on DVD.As a first season best of DVD, I think that two of the episodes do a good job of introducing people to the show who have never seen it. I liked the premiere episode, as well as A Human Reaction, but if I were to include the first season episodes that I thought were really good, I would have included Throne For A Loss, Back and Back to the Future, That Old Black Magic, and Through The Looking Glass. If I were to recommend one must see first season episode of Farscape, it would be Through The Looking Glass, this episode is what Farscape is all about -- yet it is too bad that it is not on this DVD collection. This DVD is, however, a good item to buy for those who love Farscape, and would like to see it on DVD -- I also liked the final episode commentary track of Family Ties with Ben Browder and Claudia Black -- they are just as funny to listen to as the show can be."
Lovin it, lovin it, lovin it!!

"In case you haven't guessed, I'm am totally thrilled about this collection. The day that I got it, I sat down and watched six straight hours of Farscape. Sweet. The eps chosen are absolutely wonderful (DNA Mad Scientist has always been one of my favorites) and for someone like me who missed most of the first season, it was a geat way to pick up the good, essential moments from Season 1. The only drawback that I can think of is that they could have released more eps (maybe 8 instead of 6) but I might just be saying that because I want to watch somemore Farscape now. I am SO hoping that they decide to do this for Seasins 2 and 3 too."
GREAT INTRO TO AN AMAZING TV SERIES

"I don't have cable, but have heard a lot about this series from friends. Their consensus: they love it. When this collection was announced, I thought it would be a good way to see what this "Farscape" thing is all about. Turns out, I now have a new favorite TV show...heck, even my wife got into it ("for the love interest between Aeryn and John") and she is not a fan of science fiction. "Farscape" exceeds my expectations of what a TV series is capable of. It is safe to say, this series is better than most movies in vision, scope, and excitement. My one warning to you is it will leave you wanting more (how did you long time fans survive between seasons 1 and 2?). I now HAVE to get Season 2, Volume 1 (last episode of this Best-Of set is the cliffhanger season finale), also counting the days until the Complete Season 1 Box Set is listed...so I can get my hands on the other 16 episodes not included in this collection."
