Movie Reviews

DVD of recipe excerpts from the series
the coug | Washington State | 01/26/2008
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Don't expect to watch entire shows from the series. Instead, this DVD is a collection of recipe excerpts which have been categorize into Breakfast, Family Favorites, Cookie Jar, Lively Flavors and Homestyle Favorites. Total run time is about 2 hours."

"It is not gourmet, but it was inspiring for some ideas for quick and healthy food."
Food I Would Eat
NativeCJ | CA | 02/21/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Here's a confession -- I love cookbooks and I love cooking shows, even though I may not get around to making the foods. Everyday Food, however, keeps things simple and the ingredients are usually those I would have in my house.

On this DVD, my only complaint (if you can call it that) is when one of them makes carmelized bacon. Not only does it look so good that it's bad for you, the chef claims it is easy to make for breakfast before the kids go off to school (or something close to that)! It took way too long, in my opinion.

Other than that, I found the DVD helpful in putting together regular, healthy meals that I would make more than once."
