Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), a divorced single parent, seems generally happy but dreads her daughter's departure for college. Unexpectedly, Eva begins a romance with Albert (James Gandolfini), a nice man with whom she has much in common. Meanwhile, Eva finds a new friend in Marianne (Catherine Keener), a poet who is just about perfect except for one thing: She constantly denigrates her ex-husband -- Albert. The more Eva hears, the more she doubts her relationship with him.

Dealing with divorcehood + empty nester syndrome, the 2 leads click on screen. Excellent acting by Jim Gandolfini. A sexy, funny, teddy bear here. I was hoping a sequel was made as their onscreen chemistry was adorable. But sadly, this was Jim's last film. He died at 51 yo of a heart attack in Rome b4 this flick was released/about a year after its production ended. This movie shows how women can be the source of a relationship glitch. But it also shows that JLD's character does reflect + learn/correct her mistake. Middle-age wisdom.

Enough Said is a great dramedy by Nicole Holofcener, one of my favorite writer-directors. Julia Louis-Dreyfus and James Gandolfini were perfectly cast here. I highly recommend it for those who like indie films.
