The young actors taking Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels place in their younger days nailed it! A must watch! Rest in peace Bob Saget!

There's this scene with a chocolate bar in the bathroom and someone freaking out afterwards. Think that was the only funny part in the entire movie.

Definitely not a worthy sequel to Dumb & Dumber, but then, without Jim Carrey & Jeff Daniels, I don't see how this one got the green light.

Going into it without any expectations, I enjoyed the movie and was worth the bargain price of $2 that I paid for the DVD. If you enjoy Eugene Levy, he has another stellar performance.

Just don't expect too much and you won't be too disappointed.

Dear Lord... you get what you pay for?

"I guess with a title like Dumb and Dumberer I shouldn't have been surprised that the movie was DUMB and kept getting DUMBERER.I know...? Der? What do you expect. That's what the movie is. Well... at least Dumb and Dumber had some execution. There was setup to the jokes. There was delivery. There was a method to the madness.Dumb and Dumberer has none of that. There is only one way to describe this movie. One word. RETARDED.There are two or three funny scenes and with proper execution would have been even funnier. Bob Saget's rant about his bathroom was a stomach hurter, and that's about it. The rest are ridiculous, in the tradition of JACKASS kind of jokes. There's no story either. It's about... I... I don't remember what it's about. Something about a chest, a school mascot costume and a class for special people.Okay... I've gotta say something good. The movies deplorable and a waste of time, but Rachel Nichols, who plays Jessica, is the only bright spot in the entire poop splattered mess. She's the movies object of lust and SHE'S the only reason to hit PLAY on your DVD. I hope she gets some more movie rolls because she's sharp and one of the sexiest things to happen to the silver screen in awhile.Otherwise, walk away... no 'RUN'. No, in fact, go rent DUMB and DUMBER and watch it again. See how humor is supposed to be executed."
Offensive, degrading and insulting to moviegoers!

"There is nothing that can be even remotely funny about this despicable atrocity that you would call a prequel! This movie is the worst movie that I have seen in many years and stands in direct contrast to "Lord Of The Rings", "X-Men United", , "Secondhand Lions" and "Radio". Unlike those three movies which are 2003's best movies, "Dumb and Dumberer" stands as the worst movie I've seen this year. The acting is unbelievably ridiculous and I can't even by any stretch of the imagination, understand how they could even give the green light to this horrid prequel. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were really funny in the 1994 original movie "Dumb and Dumber". The two who played them in this prequel were absolutely annoying and aggravating without being even slightly funny. Adding stale potty humor only makes an already unsalvageable film even worse. The scene with the Hershey's chocolate bar spread all over the bathroom wall just made me sick and lose my appetite for days afterwards. Potty Humor, when done right, can be really funny but it fails miserably on this prequel. The jokes and gags were completely unconvincing and annoying to no end. Just to make it simple, all of the jokes are very bad with a capital B. The number one thing that offends me about this movie to a very high degree is not the incredibly dumb acting and poor script for this movie but it is a HUGE tear down to people who have disabilities. I myself have struggle with a psychological disability (Asperger's Syndrome) and this movie is the most horrific and most disgraceful movie I've ever seen in my entire life. This aims to cash on the plight of socially challenged people of all ages. I have known and went to school with classmates with a wide variety of social disabilities and most of them were very smart, brilliant and extremely creative people. I myself have struggled through high school but managed to have several friends with neurotypical (non-disabled) individuals. I may have had trouble in school in the past but it was because of coming down with several episodes severe depression. Today, I am doing very well in school and am in college. 2003 is the year that I will remember when movie qualities took extreme directions. The positive direction was with powerful movies like "X-Men United" and ending with a huge bang with "Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King" but also falling to new lows with "Gigli" and this prequel to "Dumb and Dumber". Don't even bother renting this cinematic garbage. This is the biggest disgrace that has cluttered the movie theatres. It flopped for a good reason. People realized that it is one of the biggest pieces of junk that has ever been made. Some may call me very reactionary towards movies like this and I don't care either because rubbish like this that aims to portray people with low IQs and mental disabilities being stupid and doing unbelievably vile and stupid things is extremely degrading and bigoted. Even most people with low IQs and other handicaps can really do some great things for our society and live a normal to great life and live a life just like everyone else. With this prequel, for those who made the big mistake of buying this lousy prequel, throw it on the floor and with FULL FORCE! I hope Amazon doesn't mind me changing the subject a bit. On a more positive note to end this scathing review, I would highly suggest renting or buying the movie "Radio". Although this is not a comedy movie, "Radio" does the extreme opposite of "Dumb and Dumberer", showing how people with severe handicaps can ultimately become beloved icons. You won't be disappointed with "Radio". You will be far more rewarded with "Radio" than you would with "Dumb and Dumberer"."
True To Its Title

"True to its title, the pre-quel to "Dumb and Dumber" is, in fact, "dumber-er". Laughless jokes, mediocre writing and an uninteresting plotline all add up to make this the worst movie of 2003, thus far (we're only half-way through, so anything is possible). Not even the presence of Eugene Levy, Cheri O'Teri, Bob Saget (who's character gives us the ONLY funny 45 seconds of the movie) or Mimi Rogers can elevate this out of the dank depths of movie mire.In short, spare yourself the waste of $... and, more importantly, the waste of 90 minutes of your life. Perhaps the only positive contribution "Dumb and Dumberer" makes to the cineamatic landscape is to inspire those that dream of become screen-writiers. If this tripe can make it to the big-screen during the summer blockbuster season, ANY movie can."
