Movie ReviewsNice surprise Francesco Alvarez | 01/30/2008 (4 out of 5 stars) "I was a bit reluctant to buy this DVD mostly because I do not see the pair Alagna Gheorghiu as belcanto singers. However I was pleased of proving myself wrong. They both are superb in their roles. I do not know if this is my personal impression or what, but Gheorghiu's voice has some of Maria Callas' texture. On the other hand I have never been a big fan of Algna but I have to admit that he is great in the role of Nemorino, both acting and singing. His version of "Una furtiva lacrima" is not quite ortodox though but it is OK anyway." A Delight! J. Strickert | Austin, Tx.
