"This is a no-frills collection of video footage of Doc Watson performances with no narration, introductions or explanations other than the twenty page booklet that accompanies it. There is very little from the 60s but there is an intriguing "Deep River Blues" from a 1963 Hootenanny broadcast and an excellent "St. James Hospital" from '67. There are five tunes from 1970 with Merle including "Southbound" and "Shady Grove" with Doc on banjo! Then there are several songs from Doc's appearance on Austin City Limits in 1978 with Merle, T. Michael Coleman and a couple of other guys. Finally there are three tunes from an English '81 folk festival featuring a crucial "suey" from Doc. I say this video is worth getting if you're into Doc like I am."
