No comparison to the original classic Hit Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

Rewatched this over the weekend and have to say, I think this movie doesn't quite achieve success MAINLY because of its two leads...Diego Luna is a good actor, don't get me wrong, but unfortunately, he seems miscast here, and hardly has Swayze's captivating dance skills...and as a Moderate Latin dancer myself (I hold my own pretty well..lol), that's saying a lot. The actress looks and acts like she was cut out of a slice of bread. She CANNOT hold a movie on her own. The highlight of this film is DEFINITELY the soundtrack (yes, I own it) and gets 2 stars on that alone. Bottom line, you're better off revisiting the original Dirty Dancing.

I liked the movie mainly because of the dancing and music. The storyline was the greatest but it was worth the watch one time

Most pointless sequel ever. I saw a few minutes late one night while channel surfing and could not belive how horrible this drek was.

This movie should have never been made! Pretty bad acting for good actors. Jonathan Jackson was wasted in this film!!

Dirty Dancing - Havana Nights
Arnita D. Brown | USA | 01/05/2010

"Havana: November, 1958. Eighteen-year-old Katey Miller brings an innate curiosity--and a smattering of Spanish--to her new life in Cuba's lush capital, where her father has taken an executive posting at Chrysler. Schooled by her parents in the art of ballroom dancing, Katey is expected to join the smart set of American teenagers who are the Miller's neighbors at the exclusive Oceana Hotel. This movie is only for those who loved the first, and who love the dancing. The dancing is awesome, way better than any I have ever seen. The chemistry between the two young stars is definetly there. Patrick Swayze was a wonderful suprise."
Love this movie!

"For people who grew up watching the original, a lot of them don't seem to like this one as much. However, I love the soundtrack in this one!"
