Another Ample Director

"Rob Reiner did more interviewing than the actors who were praising him. This was less of a gushy lovefest and more of the director patting himself on the back. This work may seem dated as the last film discussed was released in the mid-1990s. I was wondering, "Why don't they speak of the director's flops?" However, when they listed all the films he produced, it seemed like he didn't have any. He must have the magic touch. The character Meathead comes up, however, Reiner never answers who he would feel if someone called him Meathead now. The actress in "The Players' Club" said people can call her Diamond whenever they want. The late JFK, Jr. said he corrected people when they called him John John. Reiner left this concern unanswered. Like many other directors (Peter Jackson, Francis Ford Coppola, Julian Schnabel, Forest Whittaker, etc.), Reiner is a burly, big boy. He never speaks about being a hirsute, hefty dude. I don't think he mentioned his family either, though there were photographs of his wife and progeny in the background. Also, he has a gap in his teeth like Oliver Stone and he doesn't say whether he has thought of having it closed."
