Movie Reviews

I was amazed...for what this movie was made for.

"I work at Blockbuster and took home a copy of this film knowing a little about the history of it. First let me say, bottom line this movie is entertaining, with a unique style... About the film, I heard it was Chris Mazzei's first film. He shot it for under $400,000, and he was only 21 years old. I have seen movies made for millions of dollars that are complete [garbage] and aren't as good as this flick. If you watch this movie, you will be more amazed of what this kid did for the money he had. When in a time a $5,000,000 film is considered to be low budget. So I think if this up and coming director had the money of Doug Liman's "GO", you would hear about how finally there is a movie that "GO" should have been! Devious Beings is worth the rent."
Pretty good

"I saw it, it was cool. I would tell my friends to see. Probably not my grandma. You should dig it."
There is always choices in life.

"This movie epitomizes the devistation that the drug life style can do to families. It became evident that all it takes is one family member and the right choice, to break that devistating cycle.
From my viewing of this movie, I was deeply moved by Jackson's determination to break that cycle of destrucion and save his mothers life.
Having lived this life, I am truly greatful to the director and producer for having the insite to bring these critical issues to the screen.
I would encourage others experiencing similar issues to allow this movie to inspire them to change."
DEVIOUS.

"I liked this film, I think it could have been better in areas. But as a whole it was done well. I am a film student and just finished a short, I can't even fathom shooting this feature. I also heard it was made for $50,000 not $400,000. If that is the case, what this filmmaker did for the money is on the same talent as what Robert Rodriguez did with "El Mariachi". If you can look past a boom shadow here and there and focus on the guts of the film, you will enjoy it. It is a very COOL film and if you don't get that, you will not understand it. I have read that people thoght the dialoge was cheesy. I beg to differ, the movie does have a cheesy line every so often, but the charaters make fun of them. Worth the rent, I bought it. Can't wait to see what this filmaker is going to do next."
