"After Gieseking (in the middle fifties), the landscape around Debussy's piano music seemed to be reached the last word ; until Michelangeli made his triumphal appearance. His perfect balance between introspection and expression tinged the incorporeal gaze of new tunes and even major dimensions; because under the perspective of waiting for thirty five years, we still don't know about any other pianist with such musical canvas, winged fingering and that superb ability to create images like him.
In which Chopin's Mazurcas, Benedetti achieves a fabulous dynamics of tempo and febrile introspection that conveys us to new visions that may be compared to the other great master of Chopin, like Samson Francois.
His absolute masterful playing in Scarlatti is another magnificent finding. Lyricism without ostentation or affection. Sentiment, not sentimentalism; filled of spring and autumnal poetry.
There are not reasons to let pass this extraordinary document."
Owns the keyboard.. no doubt
