Daydreamer begins in a seedy bar, as a young man Clinton (Aaron Paul) catches the eye of an attractive young woman Casey (Arielle Kebbel), who is completely out of her element. The two get to talking and it becomes instant... more »ly obvious that, well, for lack of a better phrase she is too good for him. Something about him intrigues her though and they end up returning to her house to continue their night.Clinton awakes the next morning to his phone ringing, in what seems to be a world of lies and unfamiliarity. Casey is calling him and some how got his phone number and knows where he lives. Others are calling too, with claims of Clinton s erratic behavior and events that Clinton can t remember.The rest of the story zigs and zags, defying convention and refusing to become a by-the-numbers mystery. As this mysterious girl becomes a part of Clinton s life, other people from his past begin to encroach upon him, tempting him to make decisions and to act in ways which he knows will harm him. But it seems that Casey has unwittingly awakened something inside of him; a desire to change, perhaps? He fights it...afraid of escaping the dark world he s known forever.
