Farrell | 12/30/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "I thought I would just try one of these collections before I started buying all the Popflix sets, and after getting this one I think it's safe to buy more. The most important consideration is, of course, the technical quality of the film. And it's not bad. We're not talking Kino or Criterion Collection quality here, but it's okay. The film is a little scratched, and the sound isn't crystal clear, but I've seen a lot worse in discount releases. The sound doesn't have that horrendous loud static that muffles the voices like some DVDs do. The films themselves, as you may have surmised, are low budget flicks that aren't exactly the greatest cinematic masterpieces ever made, but I hadn't seen most of them so it was worth it to me just for that. This is just the sort of thing that I like for fleshing out my film library. I gave it a 4-star rating mostly because it's decent quality for the price, and I'm definitely going to order some more of the Popflix collections in the future." "Dangerous Dames" I didn't know! Lisabeth Scott - I had remembered her but never really knew much about her and I enjoyed these movies with her chiseled good looks.
