This Canadian series ran for 3 seasons. Its a different sort of cop drama. A new type of police unit is developed by bringing in a psychiatrist + psychiatric nurse. The lead cop/character is a man who has seen his own on-the-job trauma + is struggling to cope "without incident" such as clucking at jerk in a coffee line (for 10 minutes, which i imagine could be very cathartic, lol). The cases are diverse without overt blood bath type scenes like many cop shows include. The cases show how mental health issues can be overwhelming, even devestating, as well as treatable. The acting is superb from the various victims/criminals and the lead character as wel. The others give lack luster performances. I do believe "mental health triage staff" should be included in real life police departments. I know some cities do have such enhanced units. I write this review as a seasoned mental health counselor.
