This is a good series for the Conan fans out there. Not nearly as violent as Robert Howard's original stories or the Arnold movies, but more geared toward the tween crowd. It still adheres to the source material as much as a weekday afternoon cartoon can and is entertaining.
The animation quality varies from sub-par to just better than average depending on the episode and the company providing the animation. It's like the companies were working from different character models as their appearances can vary greatly. The female companion, Jezmine, can take on an almost anime appearance in the episodes made by KK C&D. Those are always the better looking eps.
In terms of actual video quality the season 1 DVD's look great and are well done. These season 2 discs are pretty bad. They're from PAL videotape and are not converted back to the U.S. NTSC standard correctly. They're sped up, have ghosting in all movement areas, and look like they've been put through a red filter. It's the best we're going to get, just be aware.
