"I waited YEARS to pick this movie up on DVD after seeing a special screening. It was worth the wait. While I still would have liked to have seen it in true letterbox, I thought the picture looked great. Crisp and pretty clean, the colors are great on the transfer. The extras were very good as well. Honestly, I found myself with a lump in my throat after watching the Behind-the-Scenes Gallery. I don't know if it was the music or moving dedication, but it was done very well. The Auditions were also very fun to watch. It's clear why the actors got the parts they did because they were all so good. As far as the actual movie goes, it's still pretty darn cool. There are tons of fun referances to other movies while still being pretty original. The commentary track, while not technical, was also very fun to listen to. This disc is worth buying!!"
Better on DVD!

"I originally bought the VHS of this movie and loved it enough to pick up the DVD. This low budget vampire movie looks even less low budget on DVD. It is a much cleaner picture. The supplimental material is interesting as well. I found the commentary track amusing. It wasn't filled with a lot of techno-babble about cameras and film but more like the director was in the room hanging out with some friends. if you've seen it on cable or picked up the tape, I HIGHLY suggest picking up this nice DVD version of the movie. Where's the sequel?!"
1,000 times better than the VHS!!!

"If you like "Dawson's Creek" and you remember and love "The Lost Boys", this is the movie for you. Christopher Wiehl ("Charles") plays the perfect bad guy while Robert Floyd ("Seth") shadows him with the ideal guy-next-door image. Marisa Ryan ("Viki") is very believable as the hardened yet motherly vampire lead. Amy Jo Johnson ("Alicia") lends her natural cuteness to a character a little darker than she's played before. The story is pretty basic with Seth falling for the wrong girl, Viki. Charles does his best to victimize everyone involved with her. Jon Huertas ("Darius") and Christian Campbell ("John Luke") have stand out performances. Although sometimes long winded, Masciantonio adds the right amount of witty dialogue in with a few gross moments. Overall, I highly recommend this "popcorn flick""
A movie I could watch again and again

"I couldn't wait for this movie to come out on dvd and now that it has I couldn't be more pleased. My only complaint was that it wasn't in a true letterbox. The commentary stands as a special feature. It was nice to hear a director tell stories about making the movie rather than how the shot was filmed. Most of the technical lingo goes over my head on commentaries but this one was quiet entertaining. The movie itself looks great. This is a movie I pop in when my friends come over. I suggest you do the same."
Fun underground flick

"I've heard either two things about this movie: it's stinks or it's really good. I will go with the latter. This low budget vampire movie doesn't look that low budget. The special effects are okay but the style of the movie itself looks very professional. It was surprising to see Fred Norris from "The Howard Stern Show" pop up towards then end. He, too, was also very good. The other review summed it up pretty well so I won't do that again. The only compliant I have is not about the actual movie but the product. Whoever created the silly hologram cover shortchanged the film by only showing Amy Jo Johnson (she is only in about half the movie). It's also just a little cheesy. Video box aside, this was a great purchase."
