"16056 · The Blues Of Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown
These recordings were made at the Maple Leaf Bar in New Orleans in 1984, and they are typical Louisiana rhythm and blues. Brown is also inspired by the Cajun music from the same state. It is really swinging, and this will also be the film for a rock interested audience."

"Gatemouth Brown is truely one of the top bluesman in my opinion. This DVD was recorded at the Maple Leaf Club in New Orleans and it features Gatemouth and a full horn ensemble with keyboards and a great bass player. The DVD mixes New Orleans style blues with Gatemouth's jazzy Texas T-Bone style blues. The result is an excellent and rare recording of the Gate Man in blues action. Note* I believe this is the identical concert DVD called "In New Orleans" also offered on Amazon. That too was recorded at the same venue in the same year(?. 50 min.

"Gatemouth Brown was one of the greatest guitar players in the past 50 years. A true original, he defied being placed into a category. Part cajun, part country, part blues.... he was all of that and more. He will be sorely missed."
