A fairly useless movie

"This is a very forgettable movie about an unlikely groups of people who end up escaping Italy to seek refuge from their miserable lives in Africa. The story "line" is preposterous, with characters getting in and out the story for semi-random reasons. Poor screenplay, mediocre acting, poor attempts of humor and wit throughout. Diego Abatantuono and Silvio Orlando have acted in many recent good Italian movies, although they tend to play more or less the same character/role in most of them (and this movie is no exception). But if you enjoyed movies such as Mediterraneo or Not of This World and you expect something even remotely as good, you are on the wrong track. This is a useless movie and it's no surprise no one knows about it. The soundtrack is interesting, but the video quality of the DVD is remarkably poor. Really the only good thing about the movie is that it's less than 90 minutes long. We only watched it as a rental and I can't imagine any good reason why anyone should want to buy it."
