"The COB DVD is a must buy....I should say this one has all the songs that had to be here except that Everytime I Die is a little bit slower here....anyway they pull of this one, Silent Night Bodom Night, Hatebreeder and Needled 24/7....Buy this and play this to your home theater player along with LOG (Killadelphia), Machine Head(Elegies), Megadeth(Rude Awakening), Arch Enemy(My Apocalypse) and Dream Theater(Live in Budokan) and its like you are in a festival...

"This Dvd was amazing. Children of bodom are one of the best live metal bands out there and this shows them at their finest. This DVD is very good especially for the low price."
Ultimate COB DVD

"Chaos Ridden Years: Stockholm Knockout Live is the ultimate DVD release for fans of the innovative Finnish metal band Children of Bodom.
The Main Program: The primary focus of this DVD release is a blistering live performance in Stockholm, Sweden. A Finnish audience would have made more sense, but there's no denying the Stockholm audience's enthusiasm. The band was in top form for this show, blasting through their catalog with an emphasis on the Hate Crew Deathroll and Are You Dead Yet? material. Alexi's between-songs banter gets a little ridiculous at times, but you can tell he's having a great time.
The Bonus Features: To be perfectly honest, I think the bonus features on this DVD may outshine the main program. There's a great documentary called Chaos Ridden Years that gives the history of the band with plenty of band interviews and rare footage. It's a fascinating look at how a group of teenagers relentlessly pursued their metal dreams. In addition to Chaos Ridden Years, you also get all of the band's promotional videos. They could have released these as a separate DVD (I know I'd have bought it). You also get a behind the scenes documentary focusing on the Stockholm gig. That one is a bit of a throwaway, but after Chaos Ridden Years and the killer video collection, it hardly matters.
The Verdict: This DVD release is an absolute must-have for all Children of Bodom fans. Whether you're looking for live material, music videos, or "Behind the Music" band info, Chaos Ridden Years: Stockholm Knockout Live has it all. My only complaint (and believe me it's a minor one) is that the packaging doesn't really live up to the content. Such an impressive DVD release deserves a more deluxe treatment.

EVERYTHING WORKS EXCEPT THE MIX

"A great performance considering the band is drunk as a muthaf@#ker. The band is spot on perfect. Good editing and great camera work with lots of fretboard close-ups. Great lighting and stage design with lots of flashpots. The whole band performs with amazing energy.
IMHO, the only thing that kills this show is the muddy mix. Too many highs with almost no mids or bottom end. The bass drums during Jaska's drum solo sound like someone tapping out rhythms on a coffee table with their hands. COB's studio albums don't have a lot of bottom, but a LIVE Metal show should vibrate the walls. I could barely feel the vibration in my floor at an extremely high volume. These guys need a new man at the mixing board.
Maybe next time.
The concert was shot in widescreen with a 2.0 or 5.1 Surround mix.
If you're a serious audiophile you may be disappointed. I know I was."

"Children of bodom is one of the best metal band in the world. When I heard they were making a dvd I was excited because I never saw them live. Now that I watched the dvd, I can say that they are as impressive in show as they are in the studio. While the show is great Ido have one complaint.I think the set list isn't as impresive. Here's the concert tracklist:
Living Dead Beat
Sixpounder
Silent Night, Bodom Night
Hate Me!
We're Not Gonna Fall
Angels Don't Kill
Deadbeats I (drum solo)
Bodom After Midnight /
Bodom Beach Terror - medley
Follow the Reaper
Needled 24/7
Clash of the Booze Brothers (solo battle)
In Your Face
Hate Crew Deathroll
Are You Dead Yet?
Solo: Roope Latvala - Guitar
Lake Bodom
Everytime I Die
Downfall
The problem I have is that their 2 best album for me is hatebreeder and follow the reaper. As you can see they forgot a lot of their best song such as hatebreeder, children of bodom, mask of sanity or kissing the shadows just to name a few.By the way their killer song Bodom after midnight included in the show has been dramastically cut which is unfortunate because it is trully one of their best. One of the best thing of the show has to be the drum solo (who would have thought that he only use one bass drum)In terms of extra there is a documentary and music videos. In conclusion I dont think its the best metal show Ive seen on dvd but for only 10$if your a fan then you should pick this up and if you're not pick it up anywayit is totally worth it."
