Good southern rock

"This is a very good dvd of the CDB in concert. 2 minor points: 1-Charlie is interviewed between songs. Why not this interview after the concert? 2-the dvd is widescreen but NOT enhanced for 16:9 TV screens, just letterboxed. The cover says wrongly otherwise. For the rest: great enjoyment and good music from the CDB, one of the few true southern rock groups these days!"
Great compilation

"CDB has great history across the music spectrum, and this is a great compilation.
Also very exciting to have Chris Wormer back on guitar for Charlie Daniels Band!! These guys continue to produce great music.

A Super Outstanding, Outdoor, Concert By The Charlie Daniels

"This was filmed on July 4, 2005 on the riverfront in Nashville, TN before a crowd of 100,000 plus fans. These are very professional, seasoned muisical verterans, performing at their very best. Charlie is excellent, the band is electric, and I really enjoy Taz DiGregorio on the keyboards, ("that man can really play"). Charlie plays some excellent guitar music and excellent fiddle music. They play most of their classics. Some highlights include, "The Legend of Wooley swamp", "simple man", "Long-haired Country Boy", two Gospel Classics - "Preachin,Prayin, Singin", and "Heart of my Heart", "The South's gonna do it again", "Orange Blossom Special" and "The devil went down to Georgia". It should be noted that Charlie Daniels has changed the words to "Long-haired country boy" from "I get stoned in the morning and I get drunk in the afternoom" to "I get up in the morning and I get down in the afternoon". This is a welcome change for me, the song still sounds the same. There are some great interviews with Charlie Daniels, and he strongly lets your know, he strongly supports our U.S.Military.
There is extensive bonus material, including "Vintage CDB", which includes a performance of the "Birmigham Blues", from his Volunteer Jam in 1975. Also, there some great bonus performances, including "Drinking my Baby Goodbye", and "Texas". In the performance of "Texas", he is joined by Ray Benson (a Texan). Ray Benson is the lead singer for the Texas Country Rock Band "Asleep at the Wheel". This performance is awesome. Overall, this is an excellent concert dvd, with excellent bonus materal. The performances by the CDB are outstanding. I highly recommend this dvd. Thanks!!!!"
