This was a great movie when I first saw it on TV (under another name.) The few things that made me mad were the adoption agency not granting him a baby because he suddenly became a single parent and that they became sexist about it. And to top that off, penalizing his wife for dying, and I think that is wrong and I was glad that he still got the child he wanted. Still, shame on the adoption agency and I was glad they were being sued for discrimination, among some things. 1 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful.

I think they could have found a better actor. It was nice to see Michael Learned in the role as an employee of the adoptive agency. Since she will always be remembered as 'Olivia Walton'.It was nice to see her playing a different role and doing a nice job.
