"I was so happy when dic released the first three dvd's of the orginal care bear series with Professor Coldheart, and now Nelvana's bringing back Shrieky, Beastly and No Heart!!! The shows included on this dvd are:
CARE-A-LOT'S BIRTHDAY:
When Hugs and Tugs are kidnapped and it's up to the others to save them!
GRUMPY'S THREE WISHES:
Grumpy bear finds a four leaf clover that grants him three wishes
THE GREAT RACE:
Where the Care Bears hold a race to see who will be crowned queen or king for the day, but beastly joins in the action bent on winning using all sorts of horrible cheats.
HOME SWEET HOMELESS:
Where a flood forces the Care Bear Cousins to move into Care-a-lot and the Care Bears learns what it really means to care.My favorite from this dvd was the great race, as I remembered watching it when I was little ^.^ Hope this information helps and support the Care Bears!!!"

"Too many people have stated that the carebears episodes in this dvd are too scary for children. This is hardly the case. If your child is too frightened to watch the carebears, then it becomes more an issue of you smothering your child. If you think that it is too scary, and you want to keep your child from being exposed to the scary noheart, then you are going to have a lot to handle when your kid is at a sleepover when she is 8 and witnesses the nightmare on elmstreet or something for the first time. Sometimes its ok to be scared, and if you shelter them from it then you are gonna end up with a kid with major psychological issues. Carebears is good starter for a kid. Noheart may do "bad things" to the carebears, but people do a lot worse things to other people in the real world, sheltering them from a diluted version of that fact is only going to make it worse when they face the real version. You rock original carebears!"
Not At All Scary

"I completely disagree with the reviewers who stated that this show features villians that would frighten young children. Even though I hadn't been born yet when these episodes were originally aired, I watched the reruns as a young child and not once did I consider No Heart to be a scary villian. And his henchmen Beastly and Shrieky were far from terrfying. In fact, they were the center of many hilarious incidents that had me laughing until my sides hurt. My sister who is three years younger than I am, watched them with me and she was never negatively affected by it and only remembers how much she loved it. This show features loveable characters, exciting adventures, and heart-warming tales of friendship. I highly recommend this show and I hope to one day watch it with my children.
And for the people who claim that this show isn't the "original" you are correct. A few years before the show thatI am reviewing aired, a tv special of sorts was released in which the Care Bears "battled" against Professor Coldheart. I believe there were at least two specials: The Land Without Feelings and The Care Bears Battle the Cold Machine."

Why Can't All Cartoons Be Like This!?

"I grew up in the 80's. Like most 80's kids, I grew up with Thundercats, She-Ra, He-Man, Smurfs, My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, and of course, The Care Bears. Sadly, the cartoons of the 80's disappeared, and we were stuck with what pathetically calls itself cartoons these days. However, 80's fans, rejoice! They are back! Although not as organized as other 80's cartoons releases, it's great to take a trip down memory lane with my friends, the Care Bears. This DVD has four episodes, and they made it with a "kid friendly" dvd, which basically means instead of a menu popping up when you first put in the dvd, you go right into the fun. This is a great buy, and I can't wait to buy the rest of these, organizational issues or not!"
