Good comic book movie. For me it loses some steam toward the end, as it coasts in instead of speeding toward the finish line. I like the character of Captain America. He is much more relatable than Thor which came out 2 months before this did, and lets be real, its Thor it will be comapared to because of that. Red Skull is a weak villian although Hugo Weaving does his best with the role he's been given and Chris Evans is suspisingly solid in the title role. And the special effects are great (especially in the case of Captain America, pre-super soldier syrum) I like the retro feel of the movie as well. It will be interesting to see how they use Captain America in the Avengers movie coming out. Solid but not great.

Great movie! Saw this one in the movie theater 3 times over the summer, and loved it every time. Chris Evans does not disappoint - a regular guy who is also fearless and ready to stand up for what's right. A little over the top, which is to be expected considering this movie is based on a series of comic books by Joe Simon, and were set in the 1940's, but the movie overall is very entertaining and great for a whole family.
