Member Movie Reviews Sandy M. (BritFlickFan) Reviewed on 7/14/2024... A terminally-ill young boy--Pete Carlton (Marc Donato) has only one wish--to see the elusive Blue Morpho butterfly in its natural environment, but, as a resident of Canada, his chances of fulfilling that dream are next to zero. In desperation, Pete's mother, Teresa (Pascale Bussieres), writes to a famous entomologist known for his butterfly locating skills--Alan Osborn (William Hurt)-- in an effort to convince the scientist to take Pete along on his next trip to the rainforest. Reluctantly, Osborn agrees, despite Pete's worsening condition and the trio travel to the Amazon for the adventure of Pete's life.
