If it is possible to have a movie about corrupt FBI agents and 'hitmen' agents, yet finish with a storybook ending, Blacklight is it. Indeed, the ending to this movie is so jarring that I was in disbelief when the credits rolled. Neeson hobbles through this one, even when uninjured, and manages to accomplish a number of action movie cliches. Amazingly, his supposedly experienced 'operative' character repeatedly does moronic things that would get him killed in most any situation. "I told you so" will go through your mind as his daughter and granddaughter get 'disappeared' after he publicly threatens the Director of the FBI at his private residence. Only the journalist with a heart of gold has the intestinal fortitude to withstand the withering intimidation skills of Neeson - meanwhile, high level bureaucrats cave and admit everything!
