Strong start but slowed down about 3/4th of the way through. The ending came back strong. Randy Quaid in his younger days.

Who knew a Saab could keep up with an antique Caddy? And the young cast could even compete with Randy Quaid? This movie delivers some great tension and driving stunts with twists and turns in both the script and the snowy roads. Good action flick!

I saw the trailer for this movie and despite its obvious low budget I thought I'd give it a whirl. It's not terrible for fans of horror or fifties era American iron, but at no point does the movie manage to generate any suspense. I found that I couldn't care about any of the characters either. The Cadillac is pretty awesome.

Pretty good small budget movie

"While not the best movie I've ever seen, this movie does what it sets out to do - draw the viewer in for some thriller action.
2 friends and a little brother have travelled to Wisconsin for an evening of booze and girls at a backwoods bar in the winter. After a barroom brawl a 1950s Cadillac menaces them and eventually persues them - but our 3 protagonists have no idea why.
Unlike some spoilsport reviewer on this page, I won't tell anything more so that you'll be surprised at the end.
Randy Quaid is the only actor you're likely to recognize but, in my mind, young, pez-consuming Josh Hammond steals the show."
A true B thriller

"Ok, this wasn't the best movie and it wasn't the worst either. I was getting the feeling that the black cadillac was a paranormal vehicle until it was revieled that it wasn't. It did remind me of the movies Christine and Dead End but was a little different. I was also wondering through the whole movie where in WI this took place. I live here and was just curious. The movie was scarey and funny at times. I recommend this movie to someone that likes a thriller that is not gorey."
A pretty good thriller...

"I began watching Black Cadillac not knowing what to expect. For some reason I was thinking it was a supernatural/paranormal thriller type movie... And was very surprised when it turned out not to be.
Overall, the story is good and the movie well acted. As almost everyone else has mentioned, the only actor I recognized was Randy Quaid. That doesn't mean it's not a good movie though. You have to give new actors on low budget movies a chance, you know? I agree with the person who stated that Josh Hammond stole the show. I also thought he was great.
My only issue with the movie was that I thought it took too long to reveal why the Black Cadillac was chasing them. I started to get bored by the time the real action started to take place... My attention was recovered, though, and I stayed well tuned in for the rest of the movie. While I think more could have been done with this movie, it was still good. I recommend for anyone who enjoys thriller/suspense movies.

Great acting and fantastic fun! What a ride!

"I loved this movie and wish there were even more stars to give it. This starts out as a typical B horror movie, but the acting and writing quickly skyrocket this movie up to classic cult status. It's both hilarious and gripping. By far, the best actor in the entire movie is Jason Dohring. He does a wonderful job of portraying a young man with just the right amount of brains and looks. Honestly, I watched this twice during the same weekend and I usually don't do that; but, this movie is well worth the time."

"BLACK CADILLAC is sort of a mixture of DUEL, THE CAR, CHRISTINE, MACON COUNTY LINE, and JOY RIDE. This turns out to be a decent combination of elements. Three teenagers are out for a final night of drunken, debauched fun before entering the real world of college and work. Things go along just fine until a mysterious black Cadillac Eldorado begins following them. The terror mounts, even after the trio picks up a sheriff (Randy Quaid from ID4, Parents, and The Day The World Ended) in need of a ride. What does the unseen driver of the Caddy want? Why does he go to such insane lengths to mess with these kids? Watch and see! I got a kick out of BC. It's jam-packed w/ thrills, chills, and laughs! Great fun..."
