I am fairly new to working out with videos and participate in a workout group at my church with other women 3 days per week. We use a variety of DVDs (a different one each day we meet, for example Monday is Pilates, Wednesday is strength training, Friday is abs), and we change the videos each quarter.
This is my first Billy Blanks workout, and I REALLY enjoy it: the style of workout (in comparison to some of the other styles), his motivational talk, and the moves. I have arthritis with a creaky back and problems with my ankles and knees. This workout makes my back feel GREAT and it is low impact on my other joints--no jumping, for example. There is only one move that I have to do a larger modification on to avoid twisting on my ankles. I can't do the moves nearly as fast as the people on the DVD, but I just do as many as I can. I have noticed my midsection tighter after a couple months with this DVD than any of the other ab workout DVDs we have done. Truly, before this DVD, I thought that I just wouldn't lose anything in my midsection!
I am searching Swap-a-DVD for another Billy Blanks at the present, because I like this one so very much. Our group has since rotated out of this for our ab workout, but I do it at home on the days I can't go to the group.
